2-Part Guided Creative Retreat [Light & Dark]

A retreat for taking some quiet moments to follow our creative curiosities, focusing on any medium you'd like to explore whether it be writing, drawing, painting, collage, fiber arts, music composition, or crafting, and using materials you have on hand at home. Each guided retreat is akin to going on a solo retreat of your own while in the company of fellow creatives who are doing the same.

THEME: Light & Dark // A special, 2-part retreat split into 2 sessions (Saturdays, Oct. 15+22) where we delve into the lovely contrast of light and dark, beauty of luminescence and depth, and juxtaposition of positive and negative space, and take inspiration from visual works and written words to draw out symbolism and imagery.

We'll save a little time at the end for any who wish to share their makings or writings with the group, and retreat participants will also have access to a private forum hosted here on my website to continue the conversation and share in-progress or finished work for group feedback post-retreat.

You'll receive an email in the days prior setting the scene for our time together along with a list of suggested materials (applied to your medium) it'd be helpful to have on hand.

This workshop will take place in a live session through Zoom, which allows us to interact face-to-face in an online classroom setting through video, audio, and chat box. Download the Zoom app software to your preferred camera- and mic-enabled device + have stable internet service to participate in the live virtual workshop. Students will receive an email from me the day prior with a direct link and instructions on how to access the workshop the following day.

This retreat takes places in 2 sessions: Saturdays, Oct. 15 + 22, 12-1:30 p.m. PDT. Creatives of all levels and writing styles welcome, age 18+. At least 4 registrations are required for the retreat to take place. CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to class size minimums, I'm unable to offer full refunds on cancellations. However, cancellations made 1 week prior to the workshop can choose between a 50% refund OR a transfer of your registration to a friend (you'll need to supply their contact information so they can receive all class communications). If this class does not meet class size requirements, you will receive a full refund.
