An interactive summer camp for creative small business owners with a mix of work and fun where we connect and get to know each other better while also getting stuff done! Just like classic summer camp, we'll divide our time into time-blocked activity sessions to tackle specific tasks and work on special interest projects- all while in good company for accountability and fun, camp-like antics to break up to the work.

OPTION 1: FULL CAMP ADMISSION - 5-DAY RETREAT REGISTRATION | $100 ($10/session)

  • 5-Day Retreat hosted live on Zoom the week of Monday, July 25-Friday, July 29, 9am-12pm PDT
  • Two 1.5-hour session each day, totaling 10 sessions. See full Camp Itinerary.
  • mix of downloadable printable worksheets & linked resources corresponding to work sessions
  • live group activities and cozy chats + the opportunity to submit questions through the chat box throughout the duration of the retreat
  • the week prior to camp, you'll receive a 'Camp Packing List' of things that will be helpful to have on hand + some bite-sized reflections to consider leading up to our time together
  • Note: To register for the full camp, add 'Full 5-Day Summer Camp" ticket to your cart. This ticket includes ALL sessions, and you don't need to purchase individual sessions.

HOSTED LIVE ON ZOOM

This retreat will take place in a live session through Zoom, which allows us to interact face-to-face in an online classroom setting through video, audio, and chat box. Download the Zoom app software to your preferred camera- and mic-enabled device + have stable internet service to participate in the live virtual workshop.

PRIOR TO OUR RETREAT, you'll receive an email with the following:

  • Zoom link and details for accessing our virtual retreat
  • "Camp Packing List" with a list of things to have handy + some helpful things to think about leading up to camp
  • direct link access to our library of camp materials and worksheet printables

CANCELLATION POLICY

At least 4 registrations are required for the retreat to take place. Due to class size minimums, I'm unable to offer full refunds on cancellations. However, cancellations made 1 week prior to the workshop can choose between a 50% refund OR a transfer of your registration to a friend (you'll need to supply their contact information so they can receive all class communications). However, if this class does not meet class size requirements, you will receive a full refund.

  • S1 Tidy Up (M 9-10:30am)

    Session 1 - Mon., 7/25 - 9-10:30am: Work session devoted to tidying up. Campers can chose to use this time on their Studio Space (tidy, organize, or decorate physical workspace), their Digital Space (organize digital assets, back-up files, organize portfolio), or a mix of both! // Resource included: Handy list of optional tasks campers can choose to tackle to jumpstart the process. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity or chat discussion to break up the work with some fun!

  • S2 Game Plan (M 10:30am-12pm)

    Session 2 - Mon., 7/25 - 10:30am-12pm: Work session devoted to calendaring and planning. Campers can choose to use this time calendaring and creating timelines for design, production, events, shop updates, content creation, marketing, or a mix. // Resource included: Printable worksheet to aid in this process. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity or chat discussion to break up the work with some fun!

  • S3 Websighting (T 9-10:30am)

    Session 1 - Tues., 7/26 - 9-10:30am: Work session devoted to your website. Campers will use this time to conduct a website review (check links, text, graphics, product listings, keywords). // Resource included: Printable worksheet to aid in this process. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity or chat discussion to break up the work with some fun!

  • S4 Webpaging (T 10:30am-12pm)

    Session 4 - Tues., 7/26 - 10:30am-12pm: Work session devoted to website information and content. Campers can choose to use this time to create Specialty Pages (i.e. about the artist, press, stockists, testimonials) or create Interactive Content (video, audio clip, survey, testimonial submission form) for their website. // Resource included: Printable worksheet to aid in this process. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity or chat discussion to break up the work with some fun!

  • S5 Bookkeeping (W 9-10:30am)

    Session 5 - Wed., 7/27 - 9-10:30am: Work session devoted to bookkeeping. Campers will use this time to catch up on bookkeeping (income, expenses, budget) or inventory (product, studio materials, shipping supplies). // Resource included: Digital spreadsheet template to aid in this process. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity or chat discussion to break up the work with some fun!

    Session 6 - Wed., 7/27 -10:30am-12pm: Work session for taking a look at the numbers behind your business.     Project 1: Thurs., 7/28, 9-10:30am: Work session devoted to making headway on a special project related to document creation. Campers can choose to use this time to create cheat sheets for specific processes that recur in their business; a contract template for commissions, collabs, or freelance work; or work on creating or updating their artist CV. // Resource included: Visual examples and linked resources. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity or chat discussion for fun!

Campers can choose to use this time to write a pitch to a publication, podcast, art show, gallery, potential stockist, etc.; iron out their Statement of Social & Environmental Justice, Terms of Service, or Privacy Policy; or compose a blogpost or newsletter. // Resource included: Visual examples and linked resources. // We'll also enjoy a group camp activity/chat!
