Freehand Watercolor Patterns

Learn the basics of choosing a complementary color palette, using negative and positive space, and grouping elements in various ways for visual interest. We will practice 4 different types of freehand watercolor patterns and explore the loveliness of imperfect symmetry. Students will receive a recommended supplies list to purchase ahead of class (if you already have supplies, great!), or you can purchase an optional workshop add-on to have a starter kit mailed to you ahead of class. For creatives of all levels and styles, age 13+.

This workshop will take place in a live session through Zoom, which allows us to interact face-to-face in an online classroom setting through video, audio, and chat box. Download the Zoom app software to your preferred camera- and mic-enabled device + have stable internet service to participate in the live virtual workshop. Students will receive an email from me the day prior with a direct link and instructions on how to access the workshop the following day.

2-hour live virtual online workshop + Starter Kit mailed to you before class (U.S. Domestic only). Starter Kit includes:

• 8-page Freehand Watercolor Patterns booklet illustrated and designed by Kimberly
• 16-color Viviva Colorsheets eco-friendly, non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free, mineral-based, portable watercolor palette book. While conveniently pocket-sized (5.5" x 3"), these vibrant watercolors will last as long as a regular half pan set.
• 5/0 fine-tipped spotter brush for precision painting
• Watercolor paper sheets for painting practice

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to class size minimums, I'm unable to offer full refunds on cancellations. However, cancellations made 1 week prior to the workshop can choose between a 50% refund for class only (Starter Kit is non-refundable) OR a transfer of your registration to a friend (you'll need to supply their contact information so they can receive all class communications and pass along your Starter Kit to them if you purchased one). If this class does not meet class size requirements, you will receive a full refund.
