Guided Creative Retreat [Diaries & Chronicles]

A retreat for taking some quiet moments to follow our creative curiosities, focusing on any medium you'd like to explore whether it be writing, drawing, painting, collage, fiber arts, music composition, or crafting, and using materials you have on hand at home. Each guided retreat is akin to going on a solo retreat of your own while in the company of fellow creatives who are doing the same.

THEME: Diaries & Chronicles // Delving into creative journaling, we'll spend a cozy evening responding to several journaling prompts paired with tactile techniques for adding visual delight and texture to our entries. We'll journal and make as we go, taking note of the grand and small details we wish to document and remember, finding ways to illustrate our experiences in a variety of ways, while capturing the important bits. Since this retreat is a reflective, yet hands-on one, I've extended it to 2 hours so we can take our time.

We'll save a little time at the end for any who wish to share their makings or writings with the group, and retreat participants will also have access to a private forum hosted here on my website to continue the conversation and share in-progress or finished work for group feedback post-retreat.

You'll receive an email in the days prior setting the scene for our time together along with a list of suggested materials (applied to your medium) it'd be helpful to have on hand.

This workshop will take place in a live session through Zoom, which allows us to interact face-to-face in an online classroom setting through video, audio, and chat box. Download the Zoom app software to your preferred camera- and mic-enabled device + have stable internet service to participate in the live virtual workshop. Students will receive an email from me the day prior with a direct link and instructions on how to access the workshop the following day.

2-hour live virtual online workshop + Paperling Kit mailed to you before class (U.S. Domestic only). Paperling Kits includes:

• Packet of assorted materials from Kimberly's personal collection. Materials may include a variety of decorative papers, translucent vellum, photographs, book pages, sheet music, maps, illustrations, stickers, washi tape, and more.
• Shipped in regular letter envelope via USPS first-class mail.

BUILDING CREATIVE PRACTICE - RETREAT BUNDLES: Guided Creative Retreat can be purchased in bundles with a tiered discount. This offering is for those wishing to build a creativity practice into their schedule by intentionally carving out time and holding space each month to explore creatively. Available in bundles of 4, 6, or 12, you can redeem them at a rate of 1 retreat per month, or with more frequency to build a more active practice- it's entirely up to you! CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to class size minimums, I'm unable to offer full refunds on cancellations. However, cancellations made 1 week prior to the workshop can choose between a 50% refund OR a transfer of your registration to a friend (you'll need to supply their contact information so they can receive all class communications). If this class does not meet class size requirements, you will receive a full refund.
