Guided Creative Retreat: Time & Space

Guided Creative Retreats are a way to hold space for nurturing our creativity with a new theme each month, engaging with whatever medium that feels energizing or restorative on the given day whether it be writing, drawing, painting, collage, fiber arts, music composition, or crafting, using materials you have on hand at home. There's never any pressure to socially engage more than you wish, and each guided retreat is like holding some space to meet with your creativity while in the company of fellow creatives who are doing the same.

MAY'S THEME: Time & Space // Working in any creative medium you wish, we'll amble through a series of prompts to explore time + space through a variety of imaginative lenses, stepping outside reality to do a bit of time traveling and play in the realm of symbolism as well as prompts that ground us back to here and now to make some magic in the places and spaces we dwell.

ᡣ𐭩 With all that's going on in the world right now, I've been feeling overwhelmed and depleted as my heart aches and worries rise. But, I believe creativity and togetherness can be a balm, helping us to not only feel less alone, but create some good in the world. This retreat is for holding space to take a creative breath and nurture our creativity together.

We'll save a little time at the end for any who wish to share their makings or writings with the group, and retreat participants will also have access to a private forum hosted here on my website to continue the conversation and share in-progress or finished work for group feedback post-retreat.

You'll receive an email in the days prior setting the scene for our time together along with a list of suggested materials (applied to your medium) it'd be helpful to have on hand.

This workshop will take place in a live session through Zoom, which allows us to interact face-to-face in an online classroom setting through video, audio, and chat box. Download the Zoom app software to your preferred camera- and mic-enabled device + have stable internet service to participate in the live virtual workshop. Students will receive an email from me the day prior with a direct link and instructions on how to access the workshop the following day.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to class size minimums, I'm unable to offer full refunds on cancellations. However, cancellations made 1 week prior to the workshop can choose between a 50% refund OR a transfer of your registration to a friend (you'll need to supply their contact information so they can receive all class communications). If this class does not meet class size requirements, you will receive a full refund.
