YOUR HOSTS // This event is a special collaboration between two artists piecing together their ideas, insights, and creativity.

  • Kimberly Kuniko (she/her) is a mixed Nikkei American illustrator, collage + mixed media artist, and the designer behind Lacelit, a stationery + gift company featuring endearing imagery, sentimental turns of phrase, and clever wordplay. She loves hosting cozy, virtual Guided Creative Retreats + her Creativity Club to foster creative exploration and storytelling for all mediums and the Dream & Scheme Community for Small Business Owners. In her spare time, she enjoys sharing poetry and personal writings on her Substack and her creative explorations on IG.
  • Kristina Yu (she/her) is a self-taught illustrator and the founder of Cheery Human Studios, a design studio dedicated to creating bright and encouraging art, gifts, and stationery. Her passion for drawing, stickers, and cute characters dates back to her earliest memories. In 2016, she launched Cheery Human Studios after rediscovering her love for illustration, nearly a decade into her career as a designer in the tech industry. Since then, she has focused on crafting thoughtful gifts and paper goods, hoping to bring the same joy to others that creating them brings to her. Alongside her work at Cheery Human Studios, she collaborates with clients to create illustrations and designs for their editorial, product, publishing, and marketing projects. Additionally, she has begun teaching creative workshops in her local area and hopes to do more in-person and virtual workshops in the near future.
