I love the shape and texture of ginkgo biloba leaves. Aptly nick-named "the living fossil", the ginkgo is the only species of its group remaining in our world. Fossils form the Permian Period reveal that this deciduous wonder has remainined unchanged across the centuries, intertwining cultraul and scientific history.
 
The ginkgo's delicate, fan-like leaves and pinstriped vein structure have made such an impression on me, and continues to inspire me with its fervent resilience through the ages.
