In a whirlpool of options and goals and clutter, maybe love is the only thing that can bring serenity. It’s enough to keep us buoyant in any waters, bobbing along with waves and ripples, deeply rooted beneath the surface, tethered to something steadfast and true. 

Some years ago, this sentence-string formed in my mind. It came at a time when there was a little less hope and a little more fear and the helpful feeling of not knowing how to best support someone I loved who was suffering. Then came this gentle reminder that love will do. Love will do just fine. And it now inspires me again and again to wage all the peace and love I can muster in this world we share together.
