"Reading lets us live in someone else's shoes. Literature builds bridges; it makes our world larger, not smaller." - R.F. Kuang
R.F. Kuang is easily one of my favorite authors of all time. I admire how Kuang weaves social justice themes and calls out toxic systems through storytelling in a poetic, yet explicit way that is anything but vague. Her writing exemplifies what it means to allow stories to teach us empathy, see from perspectives other than our own, and let preconceived notions or ignorance fall away.
