juxtapose

Window sills are a place for the lovely. They welcome treasures and keepsakes and kitty cat paws. They host trickling daylight and observe the travels of raindrops. They make a home for little potted plants, sit-a-spells for rings set aside when fingers need a rest, and a meeting place for indoor-outdoor window friends.

What lives on your window sill?
